Princeton Crime: Identity Theft, Wheelchair Stolen

Here's some of what Princeton police have been up to.

PRINCETON, NJ — The Princeton Police Department dealt with multiple theft cases on Wednesday, June 12, and made a warrant arrest. One involved identity theft, and the other a piece of necessary medical equipment.

Around 10:10 a.m., a victim walked into the department reporting an unknown person access her Verizon Wireless account to buy two iPhones on June 8 at the Verizon store on North Harrison Street. At the time of her reporting, the victim didn't know the specific model of the iPhones or the total charges to her account.

Around 11:30 a.m., police pulled over a Hamilton woman for speeding and arrested her on an active warrant. Police say she was also charged with hindering apprehension. She was issued a court date and released.

Around 2:10 p.m., a victim walked to the headquarters to report her husband's wheelchair had been stolen from in front of their Mountain Avenue residence. It happened sometime between 4 p.m. on June 11 and 11:45 a.m. on June 12, police say. The wheelchair is foldable, has a blue plaid seat and cost about $150.
