PRINCETON, NJ — The Princeton First Aid & Rescue Squad is looking to hire a full-time EMT (Emergency Medical Technician).

  • Respond promptly to emergency calls and provide medical and rescue assistance
  • Assess patient conditions and administer appropriate care
  • Operate and maintain emergency vehicles and medical equipment
  • Communicate effectively with patients, families, and healthcare professionals
  • Document patient care and maintain accurate records

Required Certifications:

  • Current NJ EMT-B, NJ MICP, NREMT-B, or NJDOH-accepted equivalent
  • AHA Healthcare Provider or ARC Professional Rescuer CPRPHTLS or BTLS
  • Hazmat Operations
  • ICS-200
  • CEVO or equivalent
  • NFPA 1670 Vehicle Rescue – Operations Level (preferred)

  • $27.30/hr after 6-month probation

Preferred Qualifications

  • Minimum 2 years active prehospital 9-1-1 EMS experience
  • Valid driver’s license
  • Fluent in English (reading, writing, speaking)
  • Must pass PFARS medical exam & drug test
  • Physically able to lift/carry patients & equipment
  • Proficient operating PFARS ambulances and equipment
  • Strong working knowledge of EMT-B principles & techniques

Ability to:

  • Stay calm under pressure
  • Work well with EMS & public safety partners (including volunteers)
  • Build rapport with patients
  • Follow oral and written instructions
  • Maintain accurate records
