Princeton Voters Approve the $10.9 Million Bond Referendum
Voters on Monday approved a $10.9 million bond referendum for facilities improvements for Princeton Public Schools by a vote of 1238-571 according to unofficial results from the Princeton Township Clerk's Office, which released the votes for the consolidated voting districts. The district estimates tax impact will be less than $150 a year for the average assessed home in Princeton.

When Ben Taub auditioned for NBC's "The Voice," he not only beat out tens of thousands of competitors, but he also had two music legends vying to mentor him. County music singer Blake Shelton and singer/ rapper CeeLo Green both wanted 21-year-old Taub.

Liverman Pleads Guilty to DUI
Township Committeeman Lance Liverman has accepted a guilty plea stemming from his Aug. 9 arrest for DUI, taking a seven-month suspension of his driver’s license and paying a fine of more than $1,000.  He pled guilty to DUI and refusing a Breathalyzer test. The charges for reckless driving and making an unsafe lane change were dismissed, Liverman said.

An employee of the Princeton University Store has been charged with prostitution after he allegedly engaged in paid sexual acts in the store after hours, according to Princeton Borough Police.

House of Cupcakes Returns to "Cupcake Wars"
House of Cupcakes on Witherspoon Street will return to "Cupcake Wars" on the Food Network. Â The bakery has been named one of the four top fan favorites in a recent Facebook contest and owners Ruthie and Ron Bzdewka will soon head back to compete in the national bake-off featuring the country's top cupcake chefs.

Petraeus Reportedly Interested in Becoming Princeton University President
CIA Director Gen. David Petraeus is reportedly interested in becoming president of Princeton University, according to a report in The Daily Princetonian. The news comes less than a week after Shirley Tilghman announced she will step down from leading the Ivy League university at the end of the 2012-13 school year.Â
