State Officials Close Ferry House Restaurant
The Ferry House Restaurant on Witherspoon Street has been closed by the state for failure to pay taxes, according to Princeton Packet. The restaurant is owned by Robert Trigg, Jr., who first opened the restaurant in Lambertville before relocating it to Princeton in 1998. Trigg told the Packet he had no warning before the state closed the restaurant on Thursday, Oct. 11.Â

You probably won't see a tomato on the menu at Agricola Eatery in the dead of winter. That's because the menu at the restaurant opening at the former Lahiere's on Witherspoon Street will focus on fresh, seasonal ingredients. Executive Chef Josh Thomsen is partnering with owner Jim Nawn and the farmers at Great Road Farm in Skillman to provide authentic farm-to-table cuisine.

Princeton Woman Escapes Injury in Tuesday Crash
A 61-year old Princeton woman escaped injury on Tuesday morning after her car overturned following an accident at the intersection of Harrison and Franklin Streets. According to Princeton Borough Police, the accident happened as John Darley, 74, of Princeton, drove south on Harrison Street and ran a red light. Darley's Audi struck 61-year-old Mary Greenburg's SUV, knocking it onto its side.Â

DOT Reopens All Lanes of I-195 Overpass
Both westbound lanes of the I-195 overpass across the NJ Turnpike in Robbinsville will be reopened by Wednesday morning, New Jersey DOT Commissioner James Simpson announced on Tuesday. This restores all four travel lanes on the overpass, two in each direction. The DOT closed the outer westbound travel laneon the overpass two weeks ago after a truck traveling on the New Jersey Turnpike crashed and burned directly under the overpass.

Princeton U. Receives $15 Million for Dance Building and Theater
Princeton University's alumni and brothers Monte Wallace and Neil Wallace have donated $15 million for the first individual building named in the University's planned arts complex, University officials announced on Wednesday. The building will be one of three in the arts complex near University Place and Alexander Street designed by architect Steven Holl. They will be part of a larger arts and transit neighborhood that also includes a new train station and a new restaurant and café.

Jim Nawn: The Man Behind Agricola Eatery
Opening a restaurant is not for the faint of heart, something Jim Nawn knows only too well. Nawn is the owner of Agricola Eatery, which is slated to open at the former Lahiere’s Restaurant on Witherspoon Street in Princeton in early 2013. He purchased Great Road Farm in Skillman, signed a long-term lease for one of the most recognized commercial spaces downtown, and will hire about 50 employees for a full service farm-to-table restaurant.Â

UPDATED: Police Investigating Report of Attempted Child Abduction in Princeton
Princeton Township Police are investigating an alleged attempted child abduction on Tuesday afternoon.  An 8-year-old boy told police he was dragged into the woods by an unknown man while playing in the backyard of a home on Province Line Road between Cherry Valley Road and Drakes Corner Road.Â

Princeton U. Alums Donate $20 Millon to Name New Psychology Building
Princeton University alumni Nancy Peretsman and Robert Scully of New York City of have donated $20 million to the University to name the psychology building under construction on the south edge of the campus. Peretsman-Scully Hall is part of a two-building, 248,000-square-foot complex south of Icahn Laboratory and west of Washington Road that also houses the Princeton Neuroscience Institute.Â
