Residential Burglary, CDS Possession: Princeton Police Blotter
The Princeton Police blotter released Oct. 23 had the following reports:

The following is a summary of incidents as reported by Princeton Police:
PRINCETON, NJ — On Oct. 15, at 9:01 p.m., patrols responded to a home on Mount Lucas Road for a reported burglary. Investigation revealed that between 7 p.m. and 8:56 p.m., an unknown suspect(s) entered the home through an unlocked kitchen window and removed approximately $3,700 worth of jewelry from the master bedroom. Minor pry damage was observed on the rear door and window screen. A dark-colored SUV or minivan was reportedly seen idling in front of the residence around 7:07 p.m. The investigation is ongoing.
On Oct. 15, patrols responded to a business on Hulfish Street for a reported shoplifting that occurred just minutes prior. Three unidentified black males reportedly filled garbage bags with merchandise and fled the store, entering a grey Acura TL bearing a fictitious Pennsylvania registration. The suspects were described as follows:

- Suspect 1: Black male, possibly in his late teens to early 20s, wearing black sweatpants, a black hooded sweatshirt layered over a grey sweatshirt, and grey sneakers.
- Suspect 2: Black male, possibly in his late teens to early 20s, wearing a dark blue hooded sweatshirt, grey/black jeans, and green/blue/yellow sneakers.
- Suspect 3: Black male, possibly in his late teens to early 20s, wearing a dark blue or black sweatshirt with a white shirt underneath and a black baseball cap with white lettering. The total loss is unknown at this time. The investigation is ongoing.
On Oct. 18, patrols responded to Paul Robeson Place for a welfare check after a witness reported a female asleep in the driver’s seat of a running vehicle. The driver, identified as a 37-year-old Hamilton resident, was found operating a vehicle with a suspended registration. Following an investigation, she Henry was arrested for Driving While Intoxicated. A subsequent search of the vehicle revealed a small amount of suspected cocaine, glass tubes containing suspected crack cocaine residue, and drug paraphernalia. The woman was taken to PPD Headquarters where she was processed and charged with Driving While Intoxicated, Possession of CDS and Possession of Drug Paraphernalia. She was also issued several motor vehicle summonses, including- CDS in a Motor Vehicle, Reckless Driving, Open Container in a MV, Failure to Exhibit Driver’s License and Registration, Suspended Vehicle Registration, and Driving While Suspended. She was later released to a sober adult.
On Oct. 19, patrols responded to the area of Hodge Road and Lafayette Road for a report of a single-vehicle crash involving a utility pole. Upon arrival, officers found an unoccupied vehicle with significant front-end damage. The driver was found nearby and determined to be under the influence of alcohol. He was arrested for Driving While Intoxicated and Possession of CDS after a psilocybin mushroom was located inside his vehicle. The Madison, NJ resident was taken to PPD Headquarters where he was processed. In addition to being charged with DWI and Possession of CDS, Ottomanelli was issued multiple traffic summonses, including Refusal to submit to Breath Testing, Refusal to Submit to Chemical Tests, Failure to Report an MVA, Reckless Driving, Careless Driving, Failure to Maintain Lane, and CDS in a Motor Vehicle. He was later released to a sober adult.

On Oct. 21, following a motor vehicle stop for having a vehicle equipment violation, the driver, a Princeton resident, was found to have two active warrants: One from Hamilton Township for $555.00 and one from Mansfield Township for $2,000.00. The 28-year-old was arrested and taken to police headquarters, where he was processed and subsequently turned over to the New Jersey State Police on behalf of Mansfield Township.
