PRINCETON, NJ — Three community organizations will host a virtual forum for Princeton Board of Education candidates ahead of the November election.

Princeton Parents for Black Children, Not In Our Town Princeton and Civil Rights Princeton will co-sponsor the event Oct. 23 at 7:30 p.m. via Zoom.

All three candidates running for three open seats—incumbents Dafna Kendal and Susan Kanter, and challenger Erica Snyder—will participate. The candidates will discuss critical issues facing the district and their visions for its future.

This year's election is uncontested, marking the first time since 2012 that all seats will be filled without opposition. Despite the lack of competition, the sponsoring organizations say the forum remains crucial for community engagement.

"In hosting the candidates forum, PPBC is committed to ensuring that the concerns and issues affecting black and brown students in our district are heard by those seeking a position on the Board of Education," said Michele Tuck-Ponder, PPBC president.
