Shoplifters Crash Car While Fleeing From Scene In Princeton: Police

Two adults and a juvenile were taken into custody when they fled on foot following the crash, police said.

PRINCETON, NEW JERSEY — Four people accused of shoplifting in Princeton fled the scene in a Tesla before police could arrive and then crashed the vehicle sometime later, authorities said.

On Wednesday, around 5:54 p.m., Princeton Police received multiple 911 calls reporting an active shoplifting incident at a business on Hulfish Street.

Witnesses described four suspects—two Black males and two Black females—dressed in dark clothing. They reportedly entered the store, took items, and placed it into bags before leaving, police said. Police patrol units responded and determined that the suspects fled the scene in a gray Tesla.

Shortly after, 911 callers reported that a gray Tesla was involved in a crash on Olden Lane. Following the crash, the five occupants abandoned the car and fled on foot, police said. Within minutes, officers apprehended two suspects - an adult female and a juvenile, near the scene of the crash.

Police began canvassing the area in an attempt to find the other involved individuals.

The Mercer County Sheriff’s Office and the Hopewell Township Police Department helped in the search, utilizing drones.

West Windsor Township Police Department responded with a K-9 unit to aid as well.

Despite an extensive effort, the remaining suspects were not found, police said The adult woman that was taken into custody, Indiyyah Bradsher, was transported to the Princeton Police Department where she was processed and charged.

Bradsher also had an active warrant for her arrest out of Bucks County, PA. She was later taken to the Mercer County Correctional Center.

The juvenile that was taken into custody was later released to their guardian, police said. The total value of the stolen merchandise remains unknown., police said.

The vehicle involved, a gray four-door Tesla, was towed from the scene.

The incident remains under investigation.
