See for yourself why New Jersey Life Magazine named Princeton Center for Yoga & Health (Princeton Yoga or PCYH) one of the top five traditional yoga studios in New Jersey! Opened in 1996, PCYH, a yoga and holistic health center, was the first studio of its kind in our area. Our mission is to provide a warm, comfortable and inviting environment in which to explore different paths to health, healing and personal growth.

How has the new coronavirus impacted your business and its employees?

It has been devastating. Lots of refunds for services and workshops needed, little income coming in — we are committed to staying connected in our virtual community and offering discounted online Zoom classes to our community. I have committed to keep paying teachers and staff as long as I am able. Our staff, rent, and other fixed costs are not covered. Yet, it is quite gratifying to see how people appreciate the ongoing connection! We love our community!

How can local customers support you now and in the future?

We hope that those who are able maintain their autopay packages. They will be extended once we are able to reopen. Donations and gift certificates are welcome! Having folks spread the word to connections beyond our community, as the Zoom classes can be accessed from anywhere! We had folks invite friends from Italy and England "join" them in class! We will need folks coming back when we can open.

Do you have any words of encouragement for your community?

Yes, stay the course. It's working, and we need everyone on board. Find ways for self care. We believe yoga and mindfulness support us during such challenging times. After all, yoga and meditation are merely tools to help us meet life head on. Knowing what is true in the moment versus our minds "going into bad neighborhoods" of past and future exacerbates our stress. Knowing what is true in the moment helps us realize we have some choices, and make more skillful choices for our unique situations.

Are you offering any special services, promotions or hours during this time?

Yes. We are offering deeply discounted online Zoom classes, new client specials and $5 for one week of Zoom classes. Scholarships with promo code for free classes. More information is available here.

Are there any other outstanding businesses in town you think deserve some community support?

Montgomery PD, Sourlands Conservancy, The Strength Network, Terhune Orchards, Whole Earth Center, Greenflash Farm, Honey Brook and other organic farms in the area, Caring Heart Animal Hospital and HomeCare Veterinary Clinic.
