Swimsuit Drive Makes Splash For Water Safety Access In Princeton
All donated items will reach children in under-resourced communities across NJ.
PRINCETON, NJ - Princeton Recreation is launching a community-wide swimsuit drive, collecting new, unused bathing suits and goggles through August 15. The aim of the drive is to break down barriers that prevent children from accessing swim lessons.
What might seem like a simple piece of clothing can be the difference between a child learning to swim or missing out on this essential life skill.
The initiative addresses a real challenge - many families want their children to learn water safety but struggle to afford the proper swimwear required for pool entry.

All donated items will reach children in under-resourced communities across New Jersey through partnerships with the NJ Recreation & Parks Association and NJ Swim Safety Alliance. These organizations work tirelessly to expand access to recreational programs and water safety education statewide.
The greatest need is for children's bathing suits in sizes 5 through Young Adult, though donations of all sizes and swimming goggles are greatly appreciated.
