Tornado Warnings Issued For Ocean, Mercer, Monmouth Counties
The warning is in effect until 7:45 p.m. for northwestern Ocean, southeastern Mercer and southwestern Monmouth counties.
PRINCETON, NJ — A tornado warning is in effect until 7:45 p.m. for northwestern Ocean, southeastern Mercer and southwestern Monmouth counties.
At 7:18 p.m., a severe squall line capable of producing both tornadoes and extensive straight line wind damage was located over Imlaystown, or 14 miles east of Trenton, moving east at 45 mph.
Locations impacted include: Toms River, Lakewood, Jackson, Roosevelt, Cassville, Adelphia, Clarksburg, Vista Center, Woodruff, Six Flags Theme Park, Imlaystown, Cream Ridge, Cedar Glen West, Freewood Acres, Jacksons Mills, West Freehold, Freehold, New Egypt and Leisure Knoll. This area also includes Interstate 195 in New Jersey between mile markers 9 and 28.

Residents should take cover and move to a basement or an interior room on the lowest floor of a sturdy building and avoid windows. If you are outdoors, in a mobile home or in a vehicle, move to the closest substantial shelter and protect yourself from flying debris.
