Children's Book Festival at Princeton Public Library. Young readers will get the chance to meet more than 70 authors and illustrators of their favorite books – and get books signed. Authors include Patrick McDonnell (creator of the Mutts cartoon strip whose most recent book for children is “Me …  Jane”), Wendy Mass (best known for “A Mango-Shaped Space”), Nick Bruel (“Boing!” and the “Bad Kitty” series) and Herman Parish, the author of the newer books in “Amelia Bedelia” series.
. Examine bugs living in water, learn all about bees (native and honey), watch worms produce compost, touch beneficial insects, see butterfly metamorphosis, and hunt for insects in our meadow. Enjoy an insect puppet show, crafts, mural painting, bee dancing, hayrides and more. Barbara Bromley, Mercer County horticulturist, answers garden questions, 1 to 4 p.m.Â

 Tour the community arts center to learn about classes, programs, events, membership and volunteer opportunities, Noon to 4 p.m.Â
 is a street festival with jazz performances and food from popular area restaurants. Performers include Princeton Jazz Quartet, Alan Dale and the New Legacy Jazz Band, Claudio Roditi Group Featuring John Dukich, Catherine Russell and The New Harmony Rhythm Kings, Noon to 6 p.m.Â
