Friday

Friends of the Princeton Public Library Annual Book Sale, featuring more than 10,000 books, plus CDs, DVDs and more. Preview sale begins at 10 a.m, with numbered admission tickets on sale starting at 9 a.m.

at D&R Greenway Land Trust, followed by a reception. Registration required. 5:30 p.m.

The 8th annual “In the Pink” Fashion Show to benefit the YWCA Princeton Breast Cancer Resource Center. Breast cancer survivors, along with their family members, supporters, doctors, and nurses, will model  fall fashions from local retailers. There will also be a cocktail reception and  silent and live auctions, 6 p.m.

Saturday

Friends of the Princeton Public Library Annual Book Sale featuring more than 10,000 books, plus CDs, DVDs and much more, 9 a.m. to 5:30 p.m.

New Jersey Regional Fall One-Day Conference at Princeton University wil feature the theme "Beyond the Ballot Box." Come discuss and debate political issues that surround the presidential election, 9 a.m.

The 26^thAnnual Hopewell Harvest Fair will have fun for the whole family including pony/wagon rides, petting zoo, farmers' market, homegrown vegetable displays, love entertainment, a straw maze, scavenger hunt and more, 10 a.m. to 4 p.m.

Stop by the Princeton University Art Museum anytime between 10:30 a.m. and 1 p.m. and learn about daily life in Ancient Greece. Examine ancient artificats and decorate a Greek vase. 

Come skate with the Princeton Skating Club at Lisa McGraw Ice Rink at Princeton Day School. Learn about our ice skating and group lessons for all ages, tots to adults, from October through April. Skate rentals will be available for a minimal fee. 11:15 a.m.

Pumpkin Carving Demonstration at Grounds For Sculpture Come watch pumpkin carver extraordinaire Ashley Campbell as she uses the “surface sculpted” technique of carving away the outside layer to reveal the fleshy interior, and create almost anything you can think of, including really “ghoulish” faces 2 p.m.

Princeton resident Charles Evered to screen "A Thousand Cuts" film at NJHorrorfest. Evered to participate in Q&A after the film. 3 p.m.

The Leukemia & Lymphoma Society's Light the Night Walk at Forrestal Village helps fund patient support services, advocacy for lifesaving treatments and cancer research. 5 p.m.

Trinity Church will host a British-themed Silent Auction with hors-d'oeuvres, cocktails, door prizes and music.Donated items include a week at an Italian villa and a Paris apartment, a Disney vacation, fine wine, artwork, dinners at local restaurants, gift baskets and more, 7 p.m.

The Arts Council of Princeton hosts Sound Bites featuring Luke Elliot and His Band. Stephanie White and the Philth Harmonic will open the show at 7:30 p.m.

Sunday 

Friends of the Princeton Public Library Annual Book Sale features more than 10,000 books, plus CDs, DVDs and more. Half-price day from 1 p.m. to 5:30 p.m. in the Community Room and from 3-5 p.m., a bag of books costs $5 in the Tent on Hinds Plaza.

Westminster Community Orchestra performs its first concert of its 2012-2013 season, Music Moves and Takes Us Places. Featuring familiar favorites, including Rimsky-Korsakov, Bach and Beethoven. Special guests will be students from the Suzuki Violin Program, 3 p.m.

A discussion, "What is the responsbility of Jews to save our planet?" by author and Rabbi Dov Peretz Elkins. He will drawon wisdom of religous texts and scientific research to discuss scores of specific actions that everyone can take to slow and hopefully reverse the deterioration of our environmental well-being, 4 p.m.

Teens in grades 9 to 12 are invited to attend a meeting for Princeton United Methodist Church’s annual service trip with the Appalachia Service Project in July 2013. Students and their parents should attend, 7 p.m.
