Wildfire In Mercer Co. Threatens 34 Structures: NJ Forest Service

30 residential and four commercial structures are under threat as wildfire burns in Hopewell, the department said.

MERCER COUNTY, NJ – A wildfire burning around Poor Farm Road in Hopewell, is threatening 34 structures, the New Jersey Forest Service said.

Out of the 34, 30 are residential structures and four are commercial. The wildfire has burned through 293 acres of land with 90 percent contained.

Poor Farm Road and Woosamonsa Road are closed to traffic as firefighters battle the blaze.

The fire began on Saturday while gusts as high as 45 mph were recorded. The cause of the fire is under Investigation.
