Woman Stabbed Twice During Argument In Princeton: Police

Shoplifting, attempted car burglary, and a warrant arrest were also reported recently in Princeton.

PRINCETON, NJ — A woman was charged after police said she reportedly stabbed another woman twice during an argument on Sunday.

At 1:19 a.m., Princeton Police went to Holly House for a report of a physical altercation between two women.

An investigation found that Brielle Marshall, 29, of Princeton, assaulted the victim during an argument, stabbing her twice in the left side of the torso with a knife.

Witness interviews and video surveillance identified Marshall as the aggressor, and she was arrested, said police.

She was charged with aggravated assault, simple assault, possession of a weapon for an unlawful purpose, and unlawful possession of a weapon.

Marshall was taken to police headquarters for processing and later taken to the Mercer County Correction Center.

The victim was taken to a local hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.

On Nov. 12 at 12:15 p.m.: Subsequent to a motor vehicle stop on Franklin Avenue for improper display of license plates, the driver and registered owner, Jeunet Despeignes, 59, of Princeton Junction, was found to have an active warrant issued by the North Brunswick Municipal Court for $1,000. Despeignes was placed under arrest, taken to police headquarters for processing, and later released after posting bail with the court.

On Nov. 13 at 1:59 a.m.: Patrols responded to a business on Nassau Street, for a past tense shoplifting. Store management reported that at around 11:45 a.m., an unidentified man entered the store and stole a brown leather jacket valued at $698. Surveillance footage showed the suspect concealing the jacket under his own clothing before exiting the store. The suspect was described as a white man, around 5'7" to 5'8", slim build, with grey slicked-back hair, wearing a black sweater, light blue dress shirt, black sweatpants, and black-and-white shoes. He was carrying a black leather briefcase and a white paper bag. The investigation is ongoing.

On Nov. 15 at 7:34 p.m.: Patrols responded to a business on Nassau Street, for a report of a theft in which three juvenile suspects reached over the counter, stole several items, and fled the store. While officers were responding, a second 911 call was received regarding a vehicle burglary/theft attempt in front of another business on Nassau Street, involving the same juveniles. The vehicle owner stated that he discovered the juveniles inside his running, unsecured vehicle. When he tried to intervene, one suspect slammed the driver’s door on his thumb, causing pain and bruising. The suspects then struggled with him in an attempt to gain control of the vehicle before fleeing the area. The vehicle was processed for evidence. The investigation is ongoing.
