Don Bosco Prep Hosts Collegiate A Capella Night

The 2013-14 Season of Chapel Concerts at Don Bosco will open with a collegiate A Cappella Sing Off concert on Saturday evening, November 9, at 7:30pm at Mary Help of Christians Chapel, St. John’s Hall. This is the fourth year that Don Bosco Prep has hosted such an event, and it is particularly exciting because it will feature local-college a cappella groups:  Ramapo’s 4GotteN SuitCase, Rutgers University’s OrphanSporks, and a newly formed group from Montclair State University.  After each group sings, the audience will vote for the winner.  “It is really more about fun, than competition, but the Sing Off format establishes a platform for high energy and lots of enthusiasm,” says Toni Bilotti Cecere, Artistic Director of Chapel Concerts.   “Having college-aged singers at Don Bosco Prep gives our high school students a collegiate-level singing experience while providing a wonderful concert for the community.  It’s a great night for everyone!”  Tickets are $15 and may be purchased in advance by downloading a ticket order form atwww.donboscoprep.com/EVENTS/Chapel Concert Series.  For additional information contact Toni Bilotti Cecere at tcecere@donboscoprep.com or call (201) 327-8003 x188.
