Ramsey Seniors are on the Move

Sign up has begun for the bus trip to the Westchester Broadway Theatre on Nov. 20 to see a performance of White Christmas based on the musical featuring seventeen Irving Berlin songs. Price of $70 per person and includes a full-course lunch, show, and transportation. Checks payable to Ramsey Seniors with sign up at the Borough Hall. 

The main Senior event of the year is the annual Christmas Party at the Ramsey Country Club, that will be held on Tuesday, Dec. 3 at 12 noon. A full-course luncheon will be served. Enjoy dancing to the music provided by Ron Dellapina. There will be door prizes and a 50-50 raffle. Sign up begins on Wednesday, Nov. 13 at 9 a.m. at the Borough Hall. Price is $30 per person.  Proof of Ramsey residency required. Residents who do not drive are asked to call the borough hall at 201-825-3400 to arrange a van ride at the cost of $3 round trip. 

Beginner Tai Chi will begin an 8 week session on Thursday, Nov. 1 at 2:30 p.m. Price is $10, payable to Ramsey Seniors. Sign up at Borough Hall. 

New to the calendar: a second yoga class known as Yoga Kripalu Style will be held on Tuesdays at 2:30 p.m. Robin Abrett, instructor, is trained in working with individuals with arthritis and osteoporosis. A mat is recommended for floor work. Price is $10 for eight sessions. Sign up at Borough Hall to begin class workouts. 

When the chill sets in, the bocce boys will move indoors for shuffleboard and a game of pool. Keep in touch with Al at 201-825-2925 for weekly events. 

Wednesday card games at the center are getting popular as the fall weather creeps in. Join a group at 1 p.m. weekly or learn to play Mahjongg with Marian Peer, who will be happy to teach you.  

LEISURE CLUB NEWS: The "Over 55" Leisure Club invites you to join them for their annual Christmas luncheon and show to be held at the Brownstone Restaurant in Paterson on Tuesday December 10th. Price of $46 for members and $50 for non-members includes lunch, dancing, two complimentary drinks, entertainment by the Jersey Dreamers and transportation.
