Cancer Claims Life Of Steven Santoro, Owner Of Well-Known Ramsey Restaurant
Santoro had been battling an aggressive form of cancer for 6 months, a report said.

RAMSEY, NJ — Steven Santoro, the chef and owner of the beloved Local Seasonal Kitchen restaurant, has died from spinal cancer.
Santoro had been battling "an aggressive form" of cancer for the past six months, a NorthJersey.com report stated.
Santoro has honored by New Jersey Monthly magazine, The Record and other publications for his style of cooking, which featured sustainable, locally grown meat, produce and seafood at LSK, The Record called Local Seasonal Kitchen "an unmissable restaurant."

"We're not serving asparagus in the winter," Santoro told The Record. "We spend more time washing black dirt off vegetables than we do prepping them."
A funeral service is 11 a.m. Sept. 9 at Van-Emburgh-Sneider-Pernice Funeral Home, 109 Darlington Ave. in Ramsey.
