Applicants Sought For County College Of Morris's Board Of Trustees

Morris County residents interested in serving on the board have until April 1 to apply.

RANDOLPH, NJ — The County College of Morris is seeking applicants for a vacancy on the Board of Trustees, who set policy and have final say on college budgets and expenditures. The four-year term would begin immediately, and end in October 2027.

The board is made up of 11 Morris County residents from professional fields including business, education, and law. Applicants are asked to send their resume and a background statement outlining why they wish to serve as a trustee, and what specific skills the applicant would bring to the board.

Board member responsibilities include appointing, supporting, and evaluating the college president; ensuring the college remains fiscally viable; ratifying long-term plans; and approving the college's educational program.

The position would require a commitment of at least 20 to 30 hours per month.

Candidates must be a resident of Morris County for at least four years and may not currently hold elected office in Morris County, or be an employee of Morris County government or CCM.
