Allen House Restoration Project Launched In Shrewsbury
The Monmouth County Historical Association's donation goal is $500k, according to officials.

SHREWSBURY, NJ — The Monmouth County Historical Association has launched a restoration project for the Allen House in Shrewsbury to “ensure the site’s survival for another three hundred years.”
Originally built in 1710 for Judah Allen, the Allen House has seen multiple owners over the years, according to the Historical Association.
Throughout time, the Allen House has been a private home, a tavern, a doctor’s office and more. In 1914, officials said the roof burned off, only for it to burn off again in 1932.
