Exclusive Video of Drs. James Parker Fire

One person was injured in the Sunday afternoon blaze.

An elderly woman suffered second and third degree burns when her home caught fire Sunday afternoon in Red Bank.

The woman, identified by property records as Phyllis R. Rudrow, was pulled out of her home at 183 Dr. James Parker Boulevard by a couple of neighbors, Red Bank Police Capt. Darren McConnell said.

She was transported to Jersey Shore Medical Center in Neptune. McConnell could not say if her injuries were life-threatening, however.

She was the only person injured in the blaze.

Fire fighters remained on the scene after 5 p.m. tending to the remaining fire, which was producing some smoke from the ceiling. The fire was deemed under control at around 6:15 p.m.

Heavy fire damage was scene from the first floor windows and porch, which was mostly a burned-out shell after fire fighters successfull knocked down most of the fire.

The cause of the fire was not immediately known.
