When Jim Scavone was named Red Bank RiverCenter's new executive director, it didn't take long for people to step up and say they were pleased.
They expressed that pleasure collectively at a congratulatory party Tuesday evening at the Oyster Point Hotel.
The downtown business alliance's director of operations for a couple of years before the appointment, Scavone was met with many accolades at the gathering.
The feeling of officials, business affiliations and friends alike was that he was a natural fit for the job. And Scavone feels right at home in it.
"I'm thrilled," he said. "I love Red Bank and I look forward to a productive relationship with all of these wonderful people."
