RED BANK, NJ — A talk about the life of Geraldine L. Thompson (1872–1967), a social reformer known as the "First Lady of New Jersey," is planned for Tuesday, March 21, at the Red Bank Public Library.

The Thompson name is well-known in Monmouth County. Thompson Park in Middletown, for example, was formed from part of the Lincroft estate where she raised her family.

The program will be presented by Brookdale Professor Dr. Jane Scimeca, who is writing the first biography of Thompson.
