New Finance Officer Appointed In Red Bank After Long Vacancy

Thomas Seaman was named chief financial officer for Red Bank this week, more than a year since the resignation of the previous CFO.

RED BANK, NJ — Thomas Seaman has been named chief financial officer and director of finance for Red Bank.

His appointment takes effect Nov. 1 at an annual salary of $125,000, according to a resolution approved by the Borough Council.

His appointment runs through Dec. 31, 2025.

Seaman replaces Peter O’Reilly, who resigned in September, 2021, according to Councilman Ed Zipprich, who also provided Patch with background on Seaman.

He said Seaman previously served as the interim administrator/CFO for Seaside Park, and was the chief finance officer for Shrewsbury.

Councilwoman Angela Mirandi, head of the Finance and Personnel committee, said she welcomed him to the job.

Mirandi "has been an advocate for filling the permanent position since she took the helm of the committee in February," Zipprich said.

Seaman also served in Long Branch as treasurer, Zipprich said.
