Well, did you see Red Bank Mayor Pat "St. Pasquale of Assisi" at the first Dog Days of Summer in the borough? He was there, along with many others, yapping it up with the pups. And, boy did they flock around the mayor! Take a look, if you haven't already seen.

In other news last week, yes, the proposal for a third 7-Eleven in town was nixed. Read up, if you haven't already.

In fact, if there was anything you missed last week, click here and catch right up.

This week …

There's a Red Bank Planning Board meeting tonight. Hmmmm. And tomorrow night is National Night Out. Be there for loads of fun and interaction with the local boys in blue. See our story on that. And, someone will be around to take some pics!

The Princess Bride is also showing at Riverside Gardens Tuesday night at, of course, nightfall, courtesy of Shore Flicks, and Willy Wonka and the Chocolate Factory is showing at Shrewsbury Borough Hall on Aug. 9. Two classics. Fun. And it's free. All they ask is that you bring a non-perishable food item for those in need.

There's also a Junior Sweepstakes Regatta starting today and continuing for three more days. Check the calendar at redbank.patch.com.

Oh, and there's more, but we'll just surprise you, or news, as it will, will just take it's regular course. Ya never know what's next.

If we've missed anything, let us know. In the meantime, see you around the towns …
