Red Bank Mayor, Council Candidates To Meet In Virtual Debate
League of Women Voters of Monmouth County will host a virtual debate April 3 for the two mayoral and 13 council candidates in Red Bank.

RED BANK, NJ — Look for an online candidates’ forum for the Red Bank Borough Mayor and Council races on Monday, April 3, at 7 p.m., hosted by the League of Women Voters of Monmouth County.
The borough's first nonpartisan election, the result of a vote by residents to change the form of government, will be May 9. The positions of mayor and all six council seats are up for election.
The virtual program has been divided into two sessions:

- Council Candidates Forum is from 7 p.m. to 8:15 p.m.
- Mayoral Candidates Forum is from 8:15 p.m. to 8:45 p.m.
The program will be via a Zoom Webinar platform that accommodates a live audience of 500.

Questions to the candidates must be submitted in advance during the registration process or by email to lwvforum2023@gmail.com and putting “Red Bank Council” or “Red Bank Mayor” in the subject line.
Apart from the two mayoral candidates, there are 13 Borough Council candidates, six each on two slates and a candidate running independently. The two mayoral candidates are affiliated with the slates of council candidates. All candidates have been invited to participate in the forum.

The candidate running independently for council under Dedicated to Representing Red Bank is:
- Suzanne "Sue" Viscomi
The Red Bank's Ready team is comprised of the following council candidates:
- Kate L. Triggiano
- Ben Forest
- Nancy Facey-Blackwood
- Laura Jannone
- David Cassidy
- Kristina Bonatakis
The League of Women Voters, a nonpartisan political organization, will have a trained League moderator from outside the voting area preside at the forum. The listing of candidates here reflects the position they will have on the ballot in the May 9 election, according to the county elections office.
