RIDGEWOOD, NJ — A total of $1.39 million was appropriated to Ridgewood's water pollution control facility to fund repairs to damage caused by Hurricane Ida.

The municipally owned sewage treatment plant serves an estimated 25,000 residents, and releases wastewater into the Ho-Ho-Kus Brook, according to an online resource created by Jersey Water Works.

A bond ordinance providing for acquisition of facility equipment, appropriating the $1.39 million and authorizing the issuance of $1.17 million in bonds or notes to finance most of the cost was unanimously approved by the village council at Wednesday's meeting. Councilwoman Lorraine Reynolds was absent.
