Men Open Fire On Car After Rear-Ending It On Turnpike, NJ State Police Say
Two men rear-ended a car on the NJ Turnpike in Bergen County on then shot at it, state police say.
BERGEN COUNTY, NJ — Two men rear-ended a car on the New Jersey Turnpike then opened fire on it, State Police said Saturday. Authorities are asking for the public’s help in finding them.
Troopers arrived at the scene of the accident just after 11:30 p.m. Thursday on the Turnpike northbound near milepost 121.2 in Leonia, police said.
While traffic was at a standstill, an unknown car crashed into the back of a white Acura with a New York license plate, police said.

"Two suspected black males in the unknown vehicle exited their vehicle with a handgun," police said. "They began to assault the two male Hispanic men in the Acura, firing at least one round at the Acura."
The men then left the scene headed north, police said.

Anyone who may have witnessed the incident is asked to contact State Police Troop “D” Newark Station Criminal Investigation Office at 732-441-4500 ext. 1401, police said.
