2 Nabbed In Prostitution Probe In Ridgewood
Two people were arrested in Ridgewood after an investigation into prostitution, police said.
RIDGEWOOD, NJ — Two people were arrested in Ridgewood this month after an investigation into prostitution, police said.
Antonio Gines, 44, and Gianna Murphy, 36, of Ridgewood were arrested on Jan. 8 with the help of the Bergen County Regional SWAT team, said Ridgewood Police Chief Forest Lyons.
Gines was charged with promoting prostitution, unlawful possession of a weapon, certain persons prohibited from possessing a firearm, and five counts of possession of a controlled dangerous substance, police said.

Murphy was charged with possession of a controlled dangerous substance and "a disorderly person's offense for engaging in prostitution."
Police said that in December, they received information and began an investigation into possible prostitution occurring in town.

They executed a search warrant at Gines and Murphy's home on Jan. 8.
"The investigation into these activities is ongoing," police said.
