2 Teens With Guns Charged In Bergen County Armed Robbery: Prosecutors
Two teens were charged for using guns to rob a victim in Bergen County, prosecutors said.
BERGEN COUNTY, NJ — Two teens from Garfield have been charged with using guns to rob someone in that town last year, Bergen County prosecutors said.
Prosecutors said that on Aug. 13, around 10 p.m., police responded to an armed robbery on Westervelt Place in Garfield.
Police found a victim who said that people with handguns had stolen his property and fled.

Detectives eventually identified two 18-year-olds, who were juveniles at the time, as suspects, prosecutors said.
On June 2, the first of the two suspects was taken into custody by the Garfield Police Department, prosecutors said.

And this past Tuessday, the second suspect turned himself in.
The first teen was charged with juvenile delinquency, specifically first-degree armed robbery, second-degree unlawful possession of a weapon,
second-degree possession of a weapon for unlawful purpose, second-degree conspiracy to commit robbery, and fourth-degree aggravated assault by pointing a firearm, prosecutors said.
The suspect was ordered by Bergen County Superior Court, Family Law Division to be released to home confinement in the custody of a parent or guardian to await further action by the Court.
The second teen was charged with juvenile delinquency, specifically first-degree armed robbery and second-degree conspiracy to commit robbery.
The second suspect was transferred to the custody of the Bergen County Juvenile Detention Center to await a closed hearing in Bergen County Superior Court, Family Law Division, prosecutors said.
