RIDGEWOOD, NJ — 42 new teachers got a warm welcome to the Ridgewood Public School community Thursday — the first day of a comprehensive, three-day orientation, Interim Superintendent Dr. Leonard Fitts said.

"We are excited to have them join our faculty," Fitts said. "Our community of teachers continues to grow, but our mission remains the same."

The New Teacher Orientation, Fitts said, will familiarize the newly hired teachers with the vision and mission of the district, curriculum and instruction, technology, personnel procedures and New Jersey Education Association affiliation.

Fitts was on site to welcome the newly hired teachers (K-12) to the learning institution, and wish them a great 2022-23 school year.

"The (district's) administrative team collaborated to create a robust program for this diverse group of educators," Fitts said. "We look forward to their success in our district."
