Jamboree organizers have a few folks they'd like to thank in helping put all of the big production together in 2011. The production had its first show on Wednesday night at B.F. and will continue through Saturday.
Paul Goodman, who moved to Ridgewood 13 years resident ago, recently renovated a Prospect Street home with his wife, Laurie, a two-year member of the Board of Education. They have two children: a daughter, Marya, who is a senior at University of New Hampshire; and son, Pete, a junior at RHS. It’s been “laborious, fun, and I’ve met and reconnected with many people”. Paul particularly enjoys taking action shots, and always prefers candid shots, using his Nikon D300!
Susan Knudsen has lived in Ridgewood for 11 years with her husband, John. They have 3 sons – RHS alumni, Dane and Zack, both in college and Jack, currently a RHS sophomore. Alane Steinacker, 2011 Jamboree Producer, is a good friend, who has worked with Susan on many projects dating back to Somerville days. Knowing Susan’s love of photography, Alane persuaded her to join the Jamboree team!

While Susan’s preference is black and white photography, shooting Jamboree has been colorful and fun with her Canon Rebel! Susan has “loved reconnecting with many old friends” and has established many new friendships. She is “amazed at the number of Jamboree volunteers who don’t have children at RHS, or in the district, yet give so generously of their time, talents and professionalism!”
Organizers also wanted to thank Fairway Markets as being one of the underwriters again this year for Jamboree 2011! With their support, The Ridgewood High School Jamboree Scholarship Fund flourishes, they say.
