Animal Planet Butterfly Expert Coming to Glen Rock Public Library

The Glen Rock Public Library is planning a unique presentation “all about butterflies” Saturday that promises to be a fast paced crash course on everything you need to know about the fluttering insects.

Noted “butterfly guy” Rick Mikula, billed “the funniest butterfly expert in the world,” will be on hand Saturday, Sept. 21 for a science presentation that will be anything but dry.

Mikula, who raises butterflies at his Hazelton, Pennsylvania-based Hole-In-Hand Butterfly Farm, has been featured on Animal Planet, the Discovery Channel and local television news segments across the nation.

The event, which will begin at 3 p.m., is recommended for families with children in second grade and up, will school on how to identify, understand, and even raise the creatures.

Registration is required, and can be done by signing up in the children’s room at the Glen Rock Public Library.
