Bergen County College Professor Arrested For Sex Crime Against Student: Sheriff
Prof. Zameer Baksh has been suspended after being charged with a sex crime, the Bergen County sheriff's office said.
BERGEN COUNTY, NJ — A professor at Bergen County College has been arrested for an alleged sex crime reported by a student, said the Bergen County Sheriff’s Office.
Professor Zameer Baksh, who had worked for the college for six years, has been suspended from the job, the sheriff's office said.
He was charged with criminal sexual contact and harassment-offensive touching, a spokesperson said.

The Sheriff's Office said that on Wednesday, Dec. 11, a student reported to both BCC Public Safety and the Bergen County Sheriff's Office that Baksh had kissed her on the cheek and made "inappropriate comments" earlier that day.
Then, "The defendant continued his assault by forcefully grabbing and touching her genitalia area," according to the sheriff's office.

He was processed and released, then served with a summons/complaint. He will appear in court next month, a spokesperson for the sheriff's office said.
