Bergen County Man, 25, Sexually Assaulted 2 Minors 'Repeatedly,' Prosecutor Says

A 25-year-old Bergen County man has been charged for "repeatedly" sexually assaulting 2 children under 16, prosecutors said.

BERGEN COUNTY, NJ — A Moonachie man has been charged with the sexual assault of two minors "on multiple occasions," prosecutors said Monday.

Andrew Salamone, 25, has been charged with two counts of first-degree aggravated sexual assault, as well as three counts of third-degree endangering the welfare of a child, said the Bergen County Prosecutor's Office.

Prosecutors said that last Thursday, the Moonachie Police Department contacted the Bergen County Prosecutor’s Office Special Victims Unit regarding the alleged sexual assault of two juveniles that had occurred in the past.

An investigation by prosecutors determined that Salamone "repeatedly" assaulted the children in Moonachie on multiple occasions, while the kids were under 16.

He was arrested Friday in Paramus. He was taken to the Bergen County Jail to await a first appearance in Bergen County Superior Court in Hackensack, NJ.
