Bergen County Councilman's Son Arrested Again For Child Sex Abuse Materials: Officials
A Bergen County man was found with images of child sex abuse, prosecutors said.

BERGEN COUNTY, NJ — The son of a former Tenafly councilman was arrested again on Friday for possessing child sex abuse images, according to prosecutors and reports.
Steven Grossman, 26, of Tenafly, was charged with third-degree possession of child pornography, the Bergen County Prosecutor's Office said.
According to previous reports, Grossman was arrested two years ago for second-degree possession of child pornography, along with his father. His father, the former councilman, was not named this time around.

Prosecutors said that on Friday, members of the Prosecutor’s Office Cyber Crimes Unit executed a search warrant at Grossman's home as part of an internet child sexual abuse material investigation.
Investigators determined that Grossman "used the internet to view, download, and possess more than 100 digital files depicting nude and/or sexually explicit prepubescent and pubescent children," prosecutors said.

The complaint says that phones, tablets, and computers were seized during the search.
A report in the Record of Hackensack says Grossman and his father, Jeffrey, have still not been tried on the 2023 case, and an attorney for the latter man has argued for their trials to be separate.
Steven Grossman was taken to the Bergen County Jail to await his first appearance in Bergen County Superior Court in Hackensack, prosecutors said.
Prosecutor Mark Musella thanked police departments from Norwood, Waldwick, Washington Township, and Woodcliff Lake, as well as the county Sheriff's Office, all of which participate in the Cyber Crimes Task Force.
