Bergen County Teen Had Child Sex Abuse Images, Prosecutors Say

BERGEN COUNTY, NJ — A Hackensack man has been charged with possession of child sexual abuse material, prosecutors said.

Jonathan D. Veloz, 19, was arrested on Oct. 24 after the Bergen County Prosecutor’s Office Cyber
Crimes Unit searched his home as part of an internet child sexual abuse material investigation, prosecutors said.

The investigation determined that he had "used the internet to view, download, and possess items depicting nude and/or sexually explicit prepubescent and pubescent children," prosecutors said.

He was charged with third-degree possession of child pornography, prosecutors said.

He was taken to the Bergen County Jail to await a first appearance in Bergen County Superior Court in Hackensack, prosecutors said.

Prosecutor Mark Musella thanked the Hackensack Police Department and New York City Police Department for assistance, as well as the Waldwick Police Department, which participates in the Bergen County Cyber Crimes Task Force.
