Carmelo Anthony Set For Book Signing At Ridgewood's Bookends
The NBA star will be signing copies of his new memoir, "Where Tomorrows Aren't Promised", in Ridgewood this September.

RIDGEWOOD, NJ — Carmelo Anthony has been a lot of things in his 37 years of life. He's been a top high school recruit, NCAA champion, NBA scoring champion, Olympic gold medalist, and, soon enough, a member of the basketball Hall of Fame.
But his latest title, author, will bring him to Ridgewood's Bookends.
Anthony will make an in-store appearance at the famed Bergen County bookstore to sign copies of his memoir, "Where Tomorrows Aren't Promised", on Thursday, Sept. 16 at 6 p.m.

Anthony co-wrote the book with D. Watkins, and shared on Twitter that it isn't about what you might think.
This book isn’t about basketball… It’s about life, and growing up in the places WHERE TOMORROWS AREN’T PROMISED. Today, I’m proud to announce my memoir, coming to you on September 14th. pic.twitter.com/PP4P4vugQa

The book is due out Sept. 14, and, in an excerpt released by Gallery in April, said this:

"I had to fight through some of the roughest housing projects in America. How did I, a kid who’d had so many hopes, dreams and expectations beat out of him, make it here at all?"
Tickets are available for the in-store appearance now.
Anthony spent last season with the Portland Trail Blazers, but this year earned a one-year contract from the Los Angeles Lakers.
A perennial all-star in his heyday, Anthony is 10th all-time on the NBA's scoring list. He began his career with the Denver Nuggets, but became a fan-favorite in the Tri-State area during his time with the New York Knicks.
