Ceiling Collapses On Ridgewood Worker, Causing Injury: Police
A ceiling collapsed on a Vintage '61 worker, leaving her hospitalized with injuries to her hand, shoulder and foot, police said.
RIDGEWOOD, NJ — An employee of Vintage '61 on Hudson Street in Ridgewood was injured after a portion of the ceiling above the cash register collapsed in on her Saturday evening, Police Chief Jacqueline Luthcke said.
Employees from the business next door heard the commotion, called police and rushed over to help, pulling the employee out from under the debris, Luthcke said.
Officers responded to 43 Hudson Street at around 5:30 p.m. and were notified of the incident, and the employee, who received injuries to her hand, shoulder and foot, was taken to an area hospital for evaluation and treatment, police said.

Police are not sure what caused the ceiling to collapse.
