Centennial Celebrates Birthday with Valley Hospital Staff
George Chickering turned 100 last Monday, and treated himself to some cake with staff from the hospital's Health and Fitness Center.
Ridgewood's George Chickering celebrated his 100th birthday with staff from the Valley Hospital Health and Fitness Center on Monday, April 8.
According to Valley, Chickering has been a member of the center's After Care Fitness program for five years, and exercises twice a week at the facility.

"After Care Fitness is a closely supervised physical conditioning program designed to pick-up where formal rehabilitative therapy leaves off," the hospital stated in a news release. "After Care Fitness sessions provide individual clients with the professional guidance to continue on the road to recovery and improved fitness, building on the progress made during rehabilitation."
