GLEN ROCK, NJ - Glen Rock police responded to 295 calls between Oct. 21 and 27, including a shoplifting incident and a bicycle theft.

12:21 p.m. – P.O. Holguin responded to the CVS Pharmacy, located at 175 Rock Rd, on a report of a shoplifting in progress. Store employees observed a Glen Rock juvenile female attempt to conceal $768.06 worth of merchandise with the intention of stealing the items. Once confronted by a store employee, the juvenile began to threaten the employee with bodily harm and death. The juvenile was taken into custody by officers on scene and she was released to the custody of a parent. She was charged on a juvenile complaint with shoplifting and terroristic threats and will be given a court date in the Family Part of the Bergen County Superior Court.

6:33 p.m. – P.O. Donnelly responded to a residence on Rock Road on a report of a theft. The resident stated that her juvenile son’s bicycle had been stolen earlier in the day. She stated that at approximately 5:30 PM, he was in the woods near Lower Doremus Park. She said her son left his bicycle leaning up against a tree in the wooded area and began to walk down a trail. He then heard some noise back near where he left the bicycle and observed an unknown male, approximately 20 – 30 years of age, jump on his bicycle and pedal away. The actor fled with the bicycle down Main Street towards Fair Lawn. The detective bureau is investigating.
