Dog Hit On Route 4, Animal Hospital In Bergen County Seeks Owner

Are you my mama? This dog was hit on Route 4 in Bergen County and had broken ribs. The animal hospital is hoping to find her owners.

BERGEN COUNTY, NJ — A good Samaritan brought a female dog to Oradell Animal Hospital on Sunday after she was hit by a vehicle on Route 4, a hospital employee said.

Now the hospital is searching for her owner.

"This pretty lady was hit by a car on Route 4 in Hackensack," the hospital posted on social media on Sunday. "Unfortunately, she doesn’t have a microchip, and we have no information on her owner."

Still Not Found

A hospital representative said she's a Dachshund mix. As of Tuesday, they are still seeking her parents.

"She was brought in and had no microchip and no collar/harness to identify where she came from," said Sydney Broadbent. "Hopefully we find her owner soon! Otherwise, I believe we will take the steps to pass her onto an agency for adoption."

Broadbent said she had nine broken ribs, but is on the mend.
