Native Author and Historian To Discuss Book, Machu Picchu at Library

RHS graduate Chris Heaney is returning to hold a discussion on his book Cradle of Gold: the story of Hiram Bingham and the search for Machu Picchu, which is about the story of Machu Picchu's discovery and the ownership of its artifacts, which are being returned to Peru.

An engaging speaker, this post-doctoral fellow at University of Texas at Austin will discuss the interesting parallels between Indiana Jones and Hiram Bingham, the Westerner who changed archaeology forever.

The event starts at 7 p.m. in the auditorium and the event is free.
