Fake 'Federal Agents' Make Scam Calls To Glen Rock Resident, Police Say
Scammers posing as federal agents called a Glen Rock resident to discuss bank accounts used for "drug and gun transactions" police say.
GLEN ROCK, NJ — A Glen Rock resident recently told police that they had received phone calls from people claiming to be federal agents.
The victim said the so-called agents warned that "10 bank accounts had been opened in their name in Mexico, Jamaica, and Colombia. Those accounts were allegedly linked to drug and gun transactions."
The same person had previously been the victim of identity theft, police said, when someone obtained a driver's license in their name.
