Florida Woman Caught In Stolen Car Near Ridgewood/Glen Rock Border: Police

A Glen Rock police officer spotted a woman in a stolen car near the Ridgewood border, police said.

GLEN ROCK, NJ — A Florida woman was arrested in Glen Rock early Sunday morning for receiving a stolen vehicle, police said.

Police said that just after 2 a.m., while on patrol, Officer Onove was behind a vehicle heading north on Maple Ave near the Ridgewood border.

After running the vehicle’s license plate, Onove found out that the car was stolen.

Onove conducted a motor vehicle stop with the help of Ridgewood police officers just over the Ridgewood border, police said.

The driver was taken into custody without incident, police said.

Ashley Norsworthy, 44, of Fort Myers, Fla., was charged with third-degree receiving a stolen vehicle. She was also issued a summons for driving without a license, police said.

She was released with a court date in Bergen County Superior Court, police said.
