It'll be around 60 degrees today; see what's going on in the village.

1) The National Weather Service predicts a day of melted snowmen, sandals and 60-degree California weather (OK, maybe Northern California). So call in "sick", go outside, walk the dog and bask in the rare glory of a beautiful day in the brutal winter of 2011.
2) TheFriday Movie Matinee at the will be “Secretariat,” beginning at 1 p.m., rated PG.
3) There will be a book discussion at the of “Plato: Trial & Death of Socrates,” beginning at 1 p.m., led by Dr. Virginia Hyman.
4) Ridgewood High School boys varsity wrestling will compete in the district tournament at Fair Lawn High School at 5 p.m. Ridgewood High School varsity ice hockey will face Pascack Valley High School at Sport-O-Rama at 9 p.m. The team again tied Tenafly its last time out (this time 1-1) but has clinched the division.
5) School's out...for winter! Well, partially. It's the last day of school before break kicks in next week.
