Friday: Band at Blend, Mayor Makes Voting Error and the Library to Hold Reading Lockdown
Check out five interesting things from today.

1) Girls varsity basketball will travel to Fair Lawn High School at 4 p.m. The Boys varsity wrestling will compete in the regional tournament at 4 p.m. Finally, the BIT basketball tournament will be held at Ridgewood High School starting at 5:30 p.m.
2) The Ridgewood Public Library will be holding a reading marathon lockdown from 5 p.m. to 9 p.m.
3) Band Spectrum will be playing at on Friday night.

4) Mayor Killion made a mistake by voting to approve the fixing of salaries for police back in January, he told the council on Feb. 23. Killion voted affirmative to Ordinance # 3270 when he had said he'd abstain from all police matters, as he served on the force for about three decades.
Killion said he inadvertently voted for the ordinance, but the vote must remain though he said the measure would have carried regardless of his vote. Still, he wanted the mistake on the official record, he told Village Clerk Heather Mailander.

5) Speaking of January meetings, if you look back at the Jan. 26 agenda, it notes under "Closed Session" that there was discussion on "The Concerned Citizens of Ridgewood vs. Ridgewood Planning Board, et al." lawsuit. Think the folks from the Concerned Citizens of Ridgewood know The Concerned Residents of Ridgewood?
