Future Friends: Shelter Pets Waiting for Loving Homes
Two cats and three dogs are the featured future friends of the week.
Welcome to Future Friends, a weekly Patch column highlighting a selection of adoptable pets from around the area. This week's pets hail from Ramapo-Bergen Animal Refuge (RBARI):
Bea and Mara
Bea and her sister Mara were a bit of an unplanned surprised when the family's German Shepherd met the daughter's visiting Blue Nose Pit. Now these two girls are looking for new homes with the time and patience to properly train and socialize them. Both girls are sweet but have not had much interaction with strangers and will require experienced adopters willing to help them build confidence and transition successfully.
Mercy
Mercy is a cute little chihuahua. She is shy but very sweet. She is looking for a calm adult home.

Bailey
Bailey is a great medium-sized dog, who loves attention, loves to be walked and LOVES to run around in the yard. This female husky/shepherd mix would do best in a calm adult home.
Melinda
Melinda, a black and white cat, was rescued by RBARI after a whole year in a kill shelter and is seeking the company and comfort of a nice family. She is good with other cats and is practically perfect in every way.

Curly
Meet Curly: Larry and Moe have already been adopted. This 1-year-old Russian Blue is affectionate and gentle, great with other cats and will make a good friend. His favorite activities include: napping in a cozy bed, cuddling next to people on the couch, getting treats and being petted. He is good with older kids and great with other felines. The volunteers say he is the BEST cat ever.
