Glen Rock Fire Quickly Extinguished

No injuries were reported when a fire broke out in the basement of an Ashton Place home Saturday morning.

Firefighters in Glen Rock are investigating what caused a small fire in an Ashton Place home Saturday morning.

Glen Rock Volunteer Fire Department Chief Thomas Jennings said smoke alarms alerted residents to a fire around the furnace of their basement at roughly 10:45 a.m.

Firefighters quickly arrived and used extinguishers to put out much of the small fire. No injuries were reported and propertly losses were not major, Jennings said.

Firefighters are still determining what caused the Saturday morning fire. The home is currently undergoing renovations.
