Glen Rock HS Principal Plans To Retire
John Arlotta, who served as principal for the past nine years, plans to retire as of July 1, 2020, according to the district.

GLEN ROCK, NJ - Glen Rock High School Principal John Arlotta is stepping down from his post at the end of the school year, according to the district.
Arlotta, who served as principal for the past nine years, plans to retire as of July 1, 2020, the district announced Wednesday.
Under Arlotta's leadership, Glen Rock High School has experienced several changes, improvements and additions, such as the one-to-one laptop program, dual enrollment partnerships with Rutgers, Fairleigh Dickinson and Syracuse, increased participation in Advanced Placement classes, and expansion of the business and world languages courses.

Arlotta has also increased opportunities for students to explore their interests outside of the classroom, such as Pathways, 7-Elements and Alliance. There has also been facilities upgrades, security improvements and the creation of a website for the school newspaper, The Glen Echo.
On Wednesday, Arlotta said, “Retiring can certainly be a time for reflection. I am very fortunate to be leaving such a wonderful profession with such fond memories. I am leaving very proud of the achievements and relationships I have made while being principal of Glen Rock High School."
