Glen Rock Plans Walk to School Activities

Some students who walk or bike to school will be given prizes by the HSAs at Glen Rock elementary schools on Oct. 3.

The following release was sent by the Glen Rock Public Schools.

On Wednesday, Oct. 3, the public elementary schools in Glen Rock will be participating in Walk to School Day. This initiative was originally sponsored by the Partnership for a Walkable America in 1997. It became an international event in 2000 when Canada and the U.K. joined with the US to celebrate. Today, more than 40 countries around the world participate in this opportunity to encourage walking (and biking) to school.
